Meet the Management Team
Virendra Nath
Managing Director
Virendra is a seasoned asset manager with more than 30 years of experience in fiduciary capacity. He founded and manages APC Partners Limited, a Hong Kong regulated asset management firm that previously managed a successful “India Long Only” fund. Previously he has worked as investment professional at Asia Pacific Capital Group that made series of technology investments in India through its managed fund ‘The GE Asia Pacific Capital Technology Fund'. Virendra started his career with India’s largest commercial bank, the State Bank of India Group.
He is an Adjunct Lecturer of Finance at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Virendra has MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong and International Business Exchange Diploma from University of Chicago, The Graduate School of Business. Virendra is individually licensed by SFC for type 4 (Asset Management) and type 9 (Advising in Securities) regulated activities.
Evita Tam
Managing Director
Ms. Evita Tam, also a highly seasoned asset manager, is the investment manager and Responsible Officer of APC Partners Limited. With more than 25 years of experience in private equities investment in India. Evita has worked at one of the Big 4 CPA firms, Mizuho Bank and CLSA Capital Partners. Evita is chartered accountant and has MBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is individually licensed by SFC for type 4 (Asset Management) and type 9 (Advising in Securities) regulated activities.
Sanjay Kumar Verma
Managing Director
Sanjay is instrumental in fine tuning APCPL’s India strategy. Previously Sanjay served as advisor to Ministry of Finance, Government of India on mergers and acquisitions within banking sector. Earlier he served Bank of India, a public sector bank majority owned by Government of India in various leadership position within and outside India. As a general Manager in New Delhi, Sanjay coordinating large cross border investments in India in infrastructure and agricultural projects from such entities as AFD, KFW and JICA.
As a Chief Executive Officer in Hong Kong branch, Sanjay handled investments and syndications in infrastructure and commercial projects.
Sanjay has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in International Business from Symbiosis International University. He has also attended University of Geneva for International Organizational Management Diploma, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for Diploma on Corporate Management and Indian Institute of Management, Indore for Diploma in Leadership.
Charles W. Weldon
Senior Advisor
Charlie has worked for DuPont for more than 40 years with experience in safety improvement, manufacturing operations, plant start-ups, business management and information systems. His experience includes building and starting up plants in North America, Europe and in Asia. His broad work experience includes living in Hong Kong, Luxembourg along with the United States. He has started up plants in Richmond, Virginia, Luxembourg, China, and India. His consulting experience includes areas in manufacturing, textiles/apparel, mining, airlines, ship building, chemical/petrochemical, health and food safety, refineries, and service companies. Charlie has B. S. Mechanical Engineering, Tennessee Tech University and M. S. Industrial Engineering, Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
